My Blue Ribbon for Excellence goes to the Dremel Duo 2-Tool Kit for a superior tool that is perfect for the home or shop with powerful lithium-ion rechargeable integrated batteries. The Dremel Duo consists of the Dremel Driver screwdriver and the Dremel Stylus rotary tool with plenty of accessories.
The Dremel Duo comes with two base stands but only one is the charge stand that powers the battery charger with both connecting for a handy tool stand. The charger unit plugs directly into the wall outlet because the power adapter is inside the charge stand.
If you purchase the Dremel Driver or Dremel Stylus separately they come with the charger stand but with the Duo you get one charger stand and a second non-powered stand that clips to the side of the charger stand. The Dremel Duo comes with the two tools, the charger stand and side stand, 8 screwdriver bits, a rotary tool bit assortment, rotary tool wrench and a manual for each tool.
Both the Dremel Driver and Stylus have the same type base where the lithium batteries are while the motors for the tools are at a cross in a gun type tool. Both tools fit nicely on the charge stand and charge as soon as you place it on the stand, this keeps whichever tool is there charged and ready.

The Driver is a nice and handy screwdriver that is plenty powerful with a good assortment of bits from a size 0 to 2 Philips bits, a 1-2 to 5-6 slotted or regular screwdriver bits and two square bits. The Driver does a great job as a screw driver for common household chores and quick fix ups around the house or shop.
The Dremel Driver has a variable speed trigger that starts out the driver slowly and increases speed the more you pull the trigger. The reverse and forward switch also locks in the middle and this locks the collet so you have a regular screwdriver with the tool for that little bit of extra tightening.
Using the driver is just like using those expensive drill drivers with a good amount of torque and power from that little lithium battery. I used the Dremel in some around the house projects and was very surprised at how powerful the driver was when fixing my porch steps.
I was able to use the Stylus to drill some holes in the regular inch and a half deck boards that are on my back steps and then used the driver to screw in four inch deck screws. I was able to drive in twelve four inch screws into the steps and boards of the stairs with only the pilot hole drilled. This was about three inches of screw into two inch thick treated deck wood to secure the stair treads and deck pieces to the decking.
I was still able to use the driver a few more times before the driver was showing signs of slowing down but I was very pleased with the results of my first use. I did some more work and had no problems with the driver screwing in several different screw sizes from smaller one inch screws to four and six inch deck screws and found the battery quite capable.
The Dremel Driver has plenty of torque to handle screwing in those long four inch decks screws right down to the top and sinking the screws flat with the board. It is also capable of unscrewing those same screws from fully seated to out of the wood so it is perfect for a handy shop screwdriver.
