South Park Season 13 DVD
I think the one episode, episode 4 of season 13, sums up my feelings about this show, it's stupid and why would anyone want to watch it.

The episode has the kids of South Park watching television wide eyed while they all stare at the TV in disbelief, their favorite show has been preempted. I watched several episodes of the show and felt very much like those wide eyed children but for another reason.
Why would anyone want to watch episode after episode of this very low browed mostly humorless show, not for the thought provoking storyline or well done jabs at current topics to be sure. The show does have an occasional well done joke or topical content but for the most part seems more like its written by a high school aged kid.
South Park has done well for itself and especially for Comedy Central so I will not even speculate why people would want to watch this and just say that I could leave it easily behind me. South Park is on its thirteenth season and the DVD pack contains all 14 uncensored episodes as well as a few bonus features.
The thirteen season is not the end of the run for South Park as the fourteenth season is in the box and confirmation of a 15th season on the South Park website. South Park has also won an Emmy or two, okay four and I did find a few episodes funny and one very true but for the most part I really could leave the show without viewing more.
Many people do love the show and it does have an avid fan base so there are enough that watch it and enjoy this kind of humor. I found one episode that I did enjoy and its message that people themselves are the main cause of their financial problems instead of the banks and government who loan people too much money or bail out the banks.
Other episodes have some good messages at heart but wading through the high school antics, you know the pee and fart type humor, is hard. The good jokes are far enough between the lame ones that I found watching each episode more painful than enjoyable.
Some of the episodes, number four of the season, was just stupid and not worth even bothering with as the whole episode showed just how stupid the show could be. Other episodes to follow were better, face it anything had to be better than the fourth episode, I won't even write the title.
While South Park does have some biting and well timed jokes and well aimed jabs I really do not like the style of humor but can see how it has lasted as long as it has. They do hit the nail on the head a few times and do a good job at getting to the heart of an issue, it's just that they do go about something's a bit sideways at times.
South Park Season 13 is fourteen episodes long with seven deleted scenes and a few extras for the XBox South Park that really does'nt add much to the shows DVD release. South Park is yet another of those comedy Central releases that is a definite take it or leave it, either you like the show and want more or you just are not interested.
For those that have seen it and want more it is a definite collection must have and for those that just frown on fart jokes and worse it is a definite must leave behind.
